Heres a current picture of Bond Gideon who now lives in Houston with her daughter Tory Tompkins, a sophomore at University of Texas in Austin. Bond was Jill Foster # 2 on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. She was also a regualr on OPERATION PETTICOAT (Lt. Claire Reid) and BLANKSEYS BEAUTIES (Lovely Carslon). 1 Tory Tompkins and Mom Bond Gideon. Gideon recently appeared in WIT.
Are You Watching SWINGTOWN?
1 SWINGTOWN has become my summer guilty pleasure. This Thursday night CBS soap set in 1976 is the only scripted series I'm watching in prime time on broadcast TV until the fall. The series stars Grant Show (RYAN'S HOPE; MELROSE PLACE) and Lana Parrilla as Tom (a pilot) and Trina Decker, a couple of swingers who encounter new neighbors Bruce and Susan Miller, played by Jack Davenport and Molly Parker. The Millers have just moved into a nicer home across from the Deckers following Bruce's promotion at work. The two couples had sex together in the first episode and have formed a friendship ever since. Susan began a journey of self-discovery after that fateful night. Also in the mix is the Millers' former neighbors, uptight Janet and recently fired Roger Thompson played by Miriam Shor and Josh Hopkins. The most recent episode (#6) featured Ryan "Captain Awesome" McPartlin, known to soap fans as Hank on PASSIONS, who ended up in a three-way with Grant Show's character (see photos). I'm actually quite surprised by what CBS lets the show get away with considering its conservative reputation. It's not HBO or Showtime, but it pushes the boundaries further than I ever thought CBS would go. One of the best things about the series is the clothes and the old school gadgets from the 70s. 1
The Nuke Fancast: Episode #7

Scripts & Scruples Returns Today
1 For those that don't know, I produce a couple of radio soaps that air on a few internet radio stations, are available on iTunes and Vocalo and various places. My first radio series, SCRIPTS & SCRUPLES, has been on hiatus the past few months as I was working on a film project, Manhattanites. Today the show is back with all new episodes. Jack Finigan Davis joins the cast today as a recasted Henry Adler. Henry is a 21 year old intern at Manhattan Monthly Magazine who just happens to be sleeping with the older Editor-in-Chief, Blake Whitney. Henry's been keeping a secret from Blake that just might blow up in his face in the near future. Meanwhile, Hannah reaches out to Dylan in an attempt to smooth over their conflict over his father, Jackson. This story is going to heat up big time over the next few weeks so stay tuned. In the coming weeks look for Sam's past to catch up with him, Rex and Perry to grow apart and Alexandra to encounter and unexpected challenge. The "New" Meg Ryan
With the nuptials between Paul Ryan and Meg Sndyer concluding today, Meg's new name will be Meg Ryan. Ironically, Meg Ryan, the actress, got her start on AS THE WORLD TURNS in the early 80s playing Betsy Stewart, who fell in love with Steve Andropolous and formed one of the great couplings in show history. Their eventual wedding was the highest rated episode of ATWT of all-time. But back to the "new" Meg Ryan, here she is on the subscriber-only cover of Soap Opera Digest this week. 1 Check out SOD's interview with Marie Wilson.

Newcomer Alert: ATWT's Michael E. Rodgers
Michael E. Rodgers is playing Mike's boss, Neal, on AS THE WORLD TURNS. I believe Neal is supposed to be a short-term character, but I wouldn't mind seeing him stick around. Rodgers is from Whitburn, a town in the West Lothian region of Scotland, which looks to be near Edinburgh. A straight-A student, he horrified staff at St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn by leaving immediately after his O-levels. He quit school and left home for Edinburgh at the age of 16. When a place at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama fell through due to the lack of a grant, he decided to go it alone and try to make it as an actor anyway. He began his career at a very young age in Scotland. After many years in the theatre, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in film. Rodgers received his BA from the Glasgow School of Art & Drama. Michael’s big break came when he moved to the US in the late 1980s and began acting. He was spotted while he was performing a stage play and was asked to appear in a film called Gia, alongside Angelina Jolie. After years learning his craft in less high-profile roles, his portrayal of a murdering heroin addict on NYPD BLUE brought Michael to the attention of casting directors. He admits his busy schedule in Hollywood means there’s little chance of him returning to West Lothian full time. "My brother lives in Edinburgh and that would be a great place to have a base, but I would have to start again in getting myself known to people in the industry in this country. I’ve spent half of my life living in LA now, and, although I would like a house in Scotland, I have no plans to move home at the moment." Here's an interview from his days on Sci-Fi's THE TRIANGLE.

Justice hits the set of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as Judge David Young makes his acting debut on the show this Friday, July 11. Judge David Young will portray the character "David," a chiropractor who plays poker in a high stakes game along-side iconic characters Brad Carlton (Don Diamont), David Chow (Vincent Irizarry) and Skye (Laura Stone).
