TV Guide: Martha Byrne wasn't planning to say much publicly about her shocking decision to quit AS THE WORLD TURNS. But then the show's executive producer, Chris Goutman, issued a statement saying: "We made Martha an incredibly generous offer in hopes that she would remain a valuable member of the ATWT cast. Unfortunately, Martha has decided to leave despite our best efforts to keep her." And that was something Byrne couldn't ignore. " I've spent 21 years of my life at ATWT and have loved every minute of it, and that's what's so hard about this. On my last day on the set I cried like a baby. Ellen Dolan [Margo] brought in the bagpipe guys from the NYPD to play when my last scene was done. The cast, the crew, everybody was so incredible. That show was my life! I met my husband [retired NYC police officer Michael McMahon] and had my three children while doing ATWT. I had my very first kiss in my life on that show, with Brian Bloom [the original Dusty]. As previously announced, TV legend and talk show host Regis Philbin ("Live with Regis & Kelly") will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during the broadcast ceremony. Past recipients include Barbara Walters, James Lipton, Caroll Spinney and Merv Griffin. In addition, the nominations for "The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will be announced live on ABC's "The View" Wednesday, April 30 (11:00 a.m. to noon, ET). New York Post: Turns out billionaire investor Warren Buffett was paid scale - around $750 - for his one day of work on ALL MY CHILDREN, and that Buffett never cashed the check he received for his first appearance on AMC back in 1992. That check is framed and hanging on the wall of Buffett's office, along with a photo from his 1992 walk-on. 1 Former THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL actress Maeve Quinlan attended the Los Angeles Premiere of Nosebleed at the Mann's Chinese 6 in Los Angeles. Ryan Phillippe, who played gay teen Billy Douglas on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, was on hand at the Stop-Loss press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. He plays Brandon King in the film.

Bree Williamson (born December 28, 1981 in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian actress.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, she has been playing the role of Jessica Buchanan on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live since February 5, 2003.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Williamson had previously auditioned for a role on OLTL but was rejected because of her resemblance to actress Erin Torpey, who was playing Jessica Buchanan on the show at the time. When Torpey resigned in January 2003, Williamson was remembered by the casting department and offered the role of Jessica.[1]

On December 29, 2005 Williamson married Josh Evans.

In the September 2006 issue of ABC Soaps in Depth, Williamson revealed she just got her green card and proudly proclaimed, "Now you can't kick me out!".[2]
