Last Week's Daytime Nielsen Ratings
From the ABC Daytime Ratings release for the week of June 2-6, 2008: * ABC clinched its fourth consecutive victory as Daytime's No. 1 network in Women 18-49 (1.4 rating/909,000), defeating key competitors NBC and CBS by a sizeable 17% (vs. 1.2 rating apiece). * In Women 18-34, ABC was home to Daytime's Top 3 programs with "General Hospital," "One Life to Live" and "The View" stacked at No. 1 with 1.0 ratings apiece. * For the second straight week, "One Life to Live" was Daytime's No. 2-ranked program in Women 18-49 (1.5 rating/966,000), surpassing time period rival CBS' "As the World Turns" by a sizeable 36% (1.1 rating/715,000). * In Women 18-49, all ABC programs ranked among Daytime's Top 5, marking the second straight week the network has owned 4 the Top 5, and the 9th straight week the net has owned at least 3 of the Top 5: "General Hospital" (No. 2T, 1.5 rating/1.01 million), "One Life to Live" (No. 2T, 1.5 rating/966,000), "All My Children" (No. 4T, 1.3 rating/832,000) and "The View" (No. 4T, 1.3 rating/831,000). * In Women 18-34, ABC delivered Daytime's Top 3 programs, marking the 9th consecutive week the network has placed 3 among the Top 5: "General Hospital" (No. 1T, 1.0 rating/349,000), "One Life to Live" (No. 1T, 1.0 rating/337,000) and "The View" (No. 1T, 1.0 rating/320,000). * Continuing its dominance of Daytime's 3 o'clock hour, "General Hospital" overshadowed time period competitor CBS' "Guiding Light" by a robust 148% in Women 18-34 (349,000 vs. 141,000), by 61% in Women 18-49 (1.01 million vs. 627,000) and by 32% in Total Viewers (2.93 million vs. 2.22 million).
