Girolamo Visits ATWT
1 Karl Girolamo, who played Kevin Davis off and on from 2005 to 2007 on AS THE WORLD TURNS, will be returning to the show on October 13th. Kevin was Luke's best friend for years, but the two had a falling out at Raven Lake, when Luke came out to Kevin. Kevin reacted badly and outed Luke to all their friends. Later, Luke had to save Kevin's life when he almost drown. He was taken to the hospital where he apologized to Luke but was basically dropped from the show at that point, and returned for a one day appearance in May 2007 for Luke's prom episode. The two had reconciled their friendship at that point, but it was obvious the show was not going to follow up on their story. Girolamo told WeLoveSoaps: "I am happy to be working with everyone again. I wont be around for too long but my stuff should start airing the 13th [of October]. It's a great storyline so it should be fun." Girolamo graduated from college earlier this summer. In his previous ATWT stints, he worked on the show while going to school. Stay tuned.
Go Heather!
1 Emmy winner Heather Tom (Katie, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL) participated in the 22nd Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon yesterday to benefit Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and its Pediatric Cancer Research Program. Participants in triathlon put their skills to the test on a course that included a half- mile swim in the Pacific Ocean, an 18-mile bicycle ride along the beautiful Pacific Coast Highway and a four-mile run along the sands of Zuma Beach. In addition to pushing themselves physically, competitors raced for a worthy cause. This is the second year that proceeds from the Nautica Malibu Triathlon will benefit the world-renowned Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and its Pediatric Cancer Research Program. Previously, the event raised nearly $780,000 for Childrens Hospital and organizers are aiming to raise even more in 2008. Wally Kurth, Winsor Harmon, Alec Musser and Emily Warfield had previously been advertised for this event as well.
Michael Park Performs At "Broadway on Broadway"
One of the new Broadway musicals en route to Broadway, "Pure Country" is a new musical based on a hit film. The show has solid Country Music bona fides including music by Steve Dorff who’ hits include "Every Which Way But Loose" and Kenny Rogers’ "Through The Years," and lyrics from John Bettis who’s hits include "Slow Hand" and Madonna’s "Crazy For You." Michael Park from AS THE WORLD TURNS played the George Strait role in workshop performances earlier this year. Check out this highlight from the "Broadway on Broadway" concert in Times Square.
