Evening News
New faces on HOLLYOAKS Hunky Ravi (Stephen Uppal) has already appeared on the soap, while his arty sister Leila (Lena Caur) will join him later this month. Ravi quickly establishes himself as a cheeky chappie with an eye for the ladies. And although Nancy (Jessica Fox) isn't keen on him (she even suspects him of trying to abduct baby Charlie!), Ravi sees the tension as sexual. Stephen said: "Ravi certainly makes an impression when he arrives at Hollyoaks. His cocky attitude gets him a job as doorman at The Loft and he certainly wins over resident bad-boy, Warren, with his cheek. There’s chemistry between Ravi and Nancy, but if Nancy likes him, she’ll have to get her skates on before man-eater Mercedes beats her to it!" BLOG UPDATE: ALL MY CHILDREN star Cady McClain "We had a great time at Prohibition last night and what a turn out! WOW! Thank you to all who came to support the music. We will be playing again next WEDNESDAY JUNE 11th at 8pm for 1 hour set at CRASH MANSION." All Hail La Strasser: She’s the “Alexis of Daytime” — Again! Marlena De Lacroix writes: "About 1984 or so, when the primetime world was at the height of DYNASTY-mania, all the daytime soaps were hustling to introduce characters, all costumed in big-brimmed hats, who were supposed to be the "Alexis of Daytime." Elizabeth Hubbard, new as Lucinda on AS THE WORLD TURNS, was supposed to be the Alexis of Daytime. Marj Dusay, who played Myrna Clegg on CAPITOL, was supposed to be the Alexis of Daytime. Judith McConnell, Augusta Lockridge on SANTA BARBARA, was supposed to be the Alexis of Daytime. Baloney, I wrote in an early column headlined "Outrageous" in Michael Logan’s old magazine, Soap Opera People. We already had the definitive Alexis of Daytime. Her name was Dorian Lord, and she’d already been played definitively from1979 by Robin Strasser on ONE LIFE TO LIVE." Constantine Maroulis to Star in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' Former B&B actor Constantine Maroulis stars as Judas in The Premier Theatre Company's upcoming presentation of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar" at The Henderson Theater in Lincroft opening Friday, June 13th and running through Saturday, June 28th.
